Google has started offering online file storage service which is very cost-effective....6 GB for $20.00 per year and so on. But this service has a catch and limited usability as the storage space can be used with only the google services like gmail, picasa etc. Thus, you can have your free quota of gmail account extended to a bigger space but you wont be able to access the storage location as FTP area.

Now if I want to manage and store the files online, it cannot be handled by this facility as it is not practical to use gmail as the storage site.

Nevertheless, it is great service for those who can make maximum use of it.

A web based content management system (CMS) is used for webdesign so that the php, asp or jsp scripts call in the data from the mysql or sql database to create the content on a page. You would enter the content of a website in a database using a user friendly Admin Panel and this would update itself on the actual website. CMS is critical to the success of almost every website and intranet.

The need

Static websites are easy to design but hard to maintain. You have created a static website with desired content and you put in efforts to promote that site. As a result, the website grows organically over time, and while it is very useful, it is far from perfect. The search engines give more importance to the websites which are updated regularly.

Better Internet Browsing

Hi,

when I started computers and later my company, I was known to just Internet Explorer and Netscape as the only choices. We have been using IE for more than 3 years and faced lot of problems. Google Toolbar was a respite for some functionalities but overall the experience was not very comfortable.

Then we tried plenty of other browsers because of IE’s constant errors and shut downs. But inevitably, those browsers would either be too slow, or it wouldn’t support all sites — we even tried Avant Browser and MyIE2, but did not like either of those because of their lack of customization. No matter what we tried, we'd end up uninstalling the new browser and return to IE.Then, we installed Firefox and Mozilla on different systems and we simply love Firefox. We really like the speed at which it loads content, tabbed browser windows, development and improvement through extensions, seamless pop-up blocking, integration with search engines, and ease of use overall. It has made our Web browsing experience even more enjoyable.

We have evaluated many CMS in Java and PHP and we also came to the conclusion that if ROI is the main criteria for comparison, we found PHP CMS to be better specially Joomla and Drupal..Our Linux site is based on Joomla and provides great default stuff and scope for customisation.
